Low back, leg pain and urinary incontinence
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of meeting one of our new patients that have been suffering with low back pain into her right leg for the last two years. She had tried a regiment of medication for primary care doctor gave her, steroid injections, and ablation from her pain doctor, and was offered decompression surgery from her neurosurgeon. In her young 80s she did not want to go through with the neurosurgery option so she finally gave into her husband‘s urging and scheduled a consult to see if we could help with her degenerative disease and stenosis. After consulting with her and reviewing her imaging, we started care three weeks ago. It has been fun to watch her be able to walk further and longer, and see her get excited about the possibility of working in her garden again. What are the things that she didn’t expect to change was that she was able to control her bladder at night and has a woke each morning dry. She is very thankful and we enjoy getting to help her get her life back.
