Dr. Mark Groff, a distinguished graduate of Palmer University in Davenport, Iowa, earned his Doctorate in 1996. With over 28 years of experience, Dr. Groff began practicing in Tennessee in 1996 and serving the Sumner County community in 1998.

As the former Owner and Director of Disc Centers of America Gallatin and Knee Centers of America Gallatin, Dr. Groff specialized in treating severe back, neck, shoulder, and knee pain, as well as headaches, sciatica, and disc-related issues. His clinic was dedicated to delivering holistic, individualized care specifically tailored to the personal circumstances of each patient. Dr. Groff exclusively utilized the latest state-of-the-art equipment innovations in “real” decompression therapy which were developed and researched at Harvard University and have received FDA clearance ensuring the highest standard of patient outcomes and results. This dedication to advanced technology and personalized care was fundamental to his mission to restore health and significantly enhance the quality of life for his patients. Dr. Groff’s commitment to superior research-based treatment protocols and cutting-edge technology empowered his team to assist thousands of patients. Dr. Groff helped numerous patients avoid surgery and regain their quality of life.

Dr. Groff’s background includes membership in the Tennessee Chiropractic Association beginning in 1996 and service as Vice President of the International Disc Education Association for 2021–2022. He is certified in Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression from Parker University and Life University. Additionally, he is a contributing author to The Ultimate Spinal Decompression textbook, the first comprehensive guide on spinal decompression.

During his time at the practice, Dr. Groff was passionate about helping his patients heal and regain their functional well-being without the need for surgeries. His dedication to patient care is paralleled by his commitment to his family and community. As a devoted husband and father of four, Dr. Groff actively participates in his church’s medical missions’ group and enjoys outdoor activities like running, bike riding, and boating with his family.

My appointment isn’t until 8/19/26, tomorrow, but after reading over the reviews I’m gonna go ahead and bet all 5 stars that I was right to choose them.  After reading the very first review posted here from Rachel, we had the same fears and worries!  But i believe im in great hands!  I’ll return at the end of this path to healing to provide a follow up!

I came in with extreme neck pain and migraines due to disc degeneration in my neck. It impacted my life almost daily. The spinal decompression therapy along with their guidance on home care have helped me get back to enjoying life! I cannot recommend them enough and will definitely use them for any future needs. So thankful a friend recommended them after they helped her!!

Since my 20s I've struggled with lower back pain due to sports, heavy weight lifting and just not taking care of my body. When my back locked up, most of the time I'd just lay on the floor until the pain was bearable and it would eventually just go away. Tried PT a few times and while that helped it didn't resolve my issue. Now in my 60s my body just doesn't respond like it use to and I couldn't shake my latest back pain. Being totally against surgey, I decided to give Dr Mark Groff and his team a try. In my initial consultation with Dr Groff, I realized I'd made the right choice! My lower back issue was explained in detail, language I understood, and backed up with stats. "The what and the why" was laid out there and so was the plan to fix/heal me, not just get me pain free. Throughout my treatment I could tell my back was responding in a very positive way ... something totally different than I had experienced before. The decompression process just makes since once you're educated about it and your personal situation. Now, just a few days ago my 20 year old son landed in the ER with pretty much the same lower back issue but more severe. We were transferred to another ER and ALL we heard was surgery was needed. Respectfully, we wanted a second look and of course my experience lead us to Dr Groff and staff. After looking at my son's MRI, Dr Groff said we can heal you without surgery. With no pressure and full understanding, my son made his decision to go with decompression therapy as well ...it just made sense. Now he's confident he is on a healing path and in better spirits knowing surgery wasn't the only option.

Dr. Groff and the entire staff are absolutely the best people. Every question I had during my treatment was always answered, whether by Dr. Groff himself or one of the friendly staff members.

I can’t express how much I appreciate them and how grateful I am to finally walk again without pain. Thanks to their care, I’ll be able to ride my Harley again by next spring without hesitation!

I am glad to say I tried it. The staff were all very nice and treated people like family and not just patient. If I had the same problem as before I would do it again.
